Our Practice Philosophy

Personal Physicians of Connecticut, LLC (PPC) is a unique internal medicine private practice that was founded in April 2007 by Drs. Craig Olin and Frederick Slogoff. From its inception, PPC has been carefully designed to create an ideal environment in which patients may receive the highest quality of primary medical care. Unlike a traditional, insurance-based medical practice where a typical physician may be responsible for as many as 2,500 or more patients, Drs. Olin and Slogoff have chosen to dramatically limit their practices to approximately 400-500 patients per physician.

PPC is one of only a few hundred medical practices in the United States which utilizes a so-called “concierge medicine”, “retainer medicine”, or “boutique medicine” model. Due to its limited patient enrollment, PPC is able to provide the kind of personalized and attentive care that every patient deserves. In many ways PPC represents a throwback to the old-fashioned, small medical practice that existed decades ago in which every patient was extremely well-known to both physicians and their staff. At the same time, PPC takes full advantage of the latest available technological advances, such as e-mail correspondence with patients, electronic medical records, and electronic prescriptions. Furthermore, Drs. Olin and Slogoff are able to provide 24/7 personal cell phone availability for their patients, as well as same-day appointments and extended patient visits. Most importantly, neither the patients nor the physicians of PPC ever feel rushed in their interactions with one another.

Drs. Olin and Slogoff have been practicing internal medicine in Stamford, Connecticut for a combined twenty-year period. They have both been recognized as “Top Doctors in the New York Metro Area” by the nationally renowned Castle Connolly annual survey of physicians.
