Drs. Olin and Slogoff are currently active Attending Physicians at The Stamford Hospital (TSH) in Stamford, Connecticut. Any patient who is a member of Personal Physicians of Connecticut, LLC (PPC) and who requires emergency evaluation or admission at TSH will be cared for by Drs. Olin or Slogoff directly. In this current era of managed care, where the majority of insurance-based internal medicine practices have adopted the use of hospital-based (or so-called "hospitalist") physicians, it is part of PPC's core philosophy that every patient deserves continuity of care, particularly during those times when a patient's health may be in greatest jeopardy.
TSH is perennially recognized as one of the premier community hospitals in the entire state of Connecticut. Furthermore, among its statewide peers, TSH's medical staff boasts the highest number of specialist physicians who have been recognized by Castle Connolly's annual survey as "Top Doctors in The New York Metro Area." As a tribute to the high quality of care available at TSH, it recently became the first community hospital in Lower Fairfield County to receive accreditation for both open-heart surgery and invasive cardiology programs.
Drs. Olin and Slogoff recognize that there are tremendous advantages to having patients receive top-notch specialty care in their local medical community, where close relationships among physicians create invaluable channels of communication. At the same time, Drs. Olin and Slogoff feel it is equally important that their patients take full advantage of the broad networks of physician contacts that they maintain at the major academic medical centers located throughout the New England area. Therefore, in situations where immediate medical expertise does not exist for rare conditions or where the latest technologies are not locally available, Drs. Olin and Slogoff are capable of directing their patients to the best physicians in the region.
